What this UK speed camera map shows
The primary layer contains OpenStreetMap nodes tagged as speed cameras inside the United Kingdom. Where the source contains a road, speed or broad device type, the popup shows it. Unknown fields remain unknown.
Traffic is annual context, not a live jam feed
The traffic figure is the annual average daily flow at the nearest matched Department for Transport count point. It helps describe how busy the road usually is, but it cannot tell you the traffic at this moment.
Collision context is proximity, not causation
The collision layer counts 2024 police-reported personal-injury collisions within 500 metres. It does not show whether a camera prevented, caused or had any effect on a collision.
